Fibre optic is a fast and reliable way to receive Internet services in Iraq. It is designed to send vast amounts of information at the speed of light!
This became available for the first time in Iraq in 2010, internet connectivity via terrestrial fibre network is currently provided for many regions. However as the expansion of the fibre network is limited, for almost all locations, a microwave link is used for the last mile of connection.
What our fibre optic Internet service offers you :
High speed Internet even when there are many users on site using the service at the same time.
Minimum known delay and excellent protection for the user data packets.
Video conference, VOIP and stream videos from the internet with no interruptions.
What do you need to have to get a fibre optic Internet service:
1- A microwave tower
It’s an Iron structure built to carry the microwave hardware needed to send and receive the fibre optic internet service. Normally, the height could be anything between 6 and 30 m depending on the user’s location. Microwaves do not spread or curve so they must have a direct line of sight between antennas.
2- Microwave kit
Two sets of high gain narrow beam width dish antennae are required where the last mile of connectivity is not available via the fibre cable network.
3- Installation work
You can choose the day and time which is convenient for you. On the installation day our installation team will visit the site fully equipped to carry on the installation work.
The engineers will then assemble the Iron tower, mount the microwave dish on the tower and align it to the service providing source. They will then carry on all the wiring work, configure the network setting and activate the internet service.
Our engineers will then demonstrate your new Internet service on one of your own devices , after this your new, superfast Internet is ready to go !
